[Chess Club]
If there is interest, I would like to request that the chess club be reinstated. While I don't expect problems, if we are not.
It has been an honour serving as your student head this year. |

Hagrid's gone. Loss of an ally and potential safe spot in the school. Note: Hagrid was hardly the most stable ally. Some students are fond of him but he was known to be reckless. Not to mention a taste for illegal animals.
How did he become a professor?
Party went smoothly. Escape routes well thought out and effective. Too much of a risk to repeat this, likely.
Zacharias' coin... Would Marietta have hers?
[Neville]
I've been thinking about using the old coins to try and contact people. Zacharias' coin has already been accounted for but there's still the risk of Marietta still having hers.
I haven't decided if it's an appropriate risk. Outside information could be invaluable. But I'd rather the Marietta incident not... colour certain opinions on the matter.

Well, Dark Arts was certainly a close call. It seems the Carrows might be losing control over the Dementors. If so we may want to practice our Patronus spells more. We're lucky that the pandemonium of it all covered our tracks this time really. |

I'm finding my library resources on Classical era rune work to be sparser than usual. This wouldn't be too much of a problem but I am working on an extra credit project so it'd be helpful to know if someone has them or if Peeves has gotten into the library again.
[Ravenclaw Trio]
It might be too much of a risk to start hexing Stephen's things, but that still is doing very little to repress my urge to do so.
[Lavender]
Is that offer to talk me out of trouble still up for grabs?
[Lisa]
No going back now is there? |

[Chess Club]
I've had a meeting with Vector on Chess Club and our meeting times in regards to the new curfew that has been imposed.
The only way to keep our Wednesday meetings would be to move it forward half an hour, making meetings from 6:30-7:30. But if that is not enough time than we may have to cancel Wednesday meetings because it is a bit unreasonable to expect people to leave dinner early to try and make a 6 o'clock club meeting.
Our Saturday meeting I'm looking to the morning, likely 10-11. Afternoons would interfere with Charms Club and I would prefer to not force members to choose.
Any input would be appreciated.
[DA]
Each of you have seen Susan or myself, correct? |

Last I checked I wasn't a long lost relative of the Weasley's and I don't like suddenly being turned into a ginger.
No offense, Ginny. Except your brother is a moron
Maybe try using charms for decorations next time, instead of unleashing fairies on the rest of us. You are the charms club, after all.
[Chess Club]
It's up to you if I hold Chess Club next Saturday. Since most of you have been invited to the gala I'm personally leaning towards not. That would make Wednesday our last meeting before break. If you would like us to do something 'festive', I'm open to ideas.
No fairies though, unless we're pitting the chess pieces against them. |

Interesting to note that it seems field trips are now described by them happening on a field.
[Susan]
I could use some help with a personal project dealing with Runes. I would very much appreciate if you could help me with it. |

If you're just going to send your goons after me for talking to you, than stop talking to me.
Here I thought we were getting along. But should have known better. |

Well I'm deterred from ever having children.
That was the point of this assignment, wasn't it? |

[Padma]Might you be interested in a game of chess this evening? Michael informed me of something I would very much like to discuss with you in private. [Susan][added after this.]I was wondering if maybe you would like to help me with some research in the library tomorrow. I find myself in need of picking your brain. |

Apparently my brother wants to meet up with us to discuss something.
Something Michael already knows about, curious that. |

I'm not sure which is worse, having gotten covered in pumpkin or the flimsy attempts at wit from many students today.
Though pumpkin bits can just be washed off. The headache caused by people thinking they're funny takes forever to go away. |

What have I done to tick you off? You've been avoiding me all day. I promise I'm sorry for it.
I've got sweets if you forgive me.
[Private to Susan and Lavender]
I was thinking we could try some practical experimentation based off the research we've been doing. I think we have at least a few ideas that could be given a shot. |

If I discover that someone instigated the chess clubs pieces into their behavior today, it will mean war. As hilarious a thought as a chess piece rebellion is, it's not as amusing in practice. Though it is good to know that when our minds are put into use, the chess club is capable of suppressing a rebellion. [Added after this.][Private to Susan]Lavender apparently wants to attempt some charms tonight. If you're not too busy, save me from having my eyes roll out of my head please. |

I would complain about the illogical behavior during this weekend's quidditch match, but I feel that has been a subject that has been utterly exhausted by other entries. Given that I care as much about quidditch as I do about what a given person had for breakfast, I doubt my own opinion would add much to the debate.
Though as a first time seeker, I'm sure Kat did an admirable job on her first outing. Give credit where it's due, it's very difficult to compete against someone with more experience and from what I'm told she did an admirable job holding her own, especially given the hostilities she faced the week before the match. Gryffindor certainly has spirit. |
